I am a Phd student.
My research interests are at the interface of many-body physics, open quantum system theory, cold atoms and non-equilibrium thermodynamics.
In a recent work we investigated the open dynamics of an atomic impurity embedded in a one-dimensional Bose-Hubbard lattice. We showed how the presence or absence of memory effects is a signature of the nature of the excitations induced by the impurity, being delocalized or localized in the two limiting cases of superfluid and Mott insulator, respectively (Phys. Rev. A 97, 040101(R)).
I have had several collaborations from many different countries, Queen's University Belfast (UK), Oxford University (UK), Universität Ulm (Germany), Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), and Università della Calabria (Italy).
